Royal3D is hiring a Lead 3D printing engineer (fulltime)

Royal3D, located in the makers district in Rotterdam, has two of the largest 3D printers in Europe. A CEAD CFAM Prime printer and a ABB robotic arm track printer, allowing to 3D print applications with respective print volumes of 2x4x1.5m and 8x4x5m

The Lead 3D printing engineer will be responsible for the day to day business and technical printing development of Royal3D. You will work in close cooperation with the Sales/Commercial Engineer and the 3D Print Engineer. 3D printing and the usage of 3D printed (large scale) applications is a growing market in which continuous development is required. Technically, by finetuning the printer, finding the most optimal (recycled and reusable) print materials for specific applications, ensure printability of parts and come up with solutions for post processing. And commercially, by further developing business for the printer and printing parts and objects for various industries. Knowledge of large scale 3D printing process and concepts is preferable.

Royal3D is looking for a hands on, technically minded and practical design/construction specialist with a BA/MA degree and 3-5 years of working experience in emerging production techniques like 3D printing. Ability to work with SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD and Cura or other slicing software. You are fluent in English, both written and oral and you like working in a young, multidisciplinary team using the SCRUM working method.
